Our story
Built to make the sunrise hike simpler
Batur Hiking Sunrise was created around a simple idea: travelers should be able to experience Mount Batur without confusion, unclear inclusions, or last-minute surprises.
We bring the essential parts of the morning together—from private hotel pickup and hiking equipment to a private local guide, entrance ticket, a warm pre-hike refreshment, and a light breakfast at the summit. An English-speaking guide can be arranged upon request.

Joni Hartadinata
Joni Hartadinata founded Batur Hiking Sunrise and organizes the experience for travelers visiting Bali. He coordinates the booking journey, private transportation, hiking arrangements, and local operating partners so guests know what to expect before their early-morning adventure begins.
Working with local Mount Batur guides and Bali-based service partners, Joni’s focus is straightforward communication, accurate expectations, and a thoughtfully organized experience from hotel pickup to the return journey.

Guided by people who know Mount Batur
The mountain experience is led by a private local guide who knows Mount Batur’s trails and conditions. Each guide accompanies a maximum of five guests, and an English-speaking guide can be requested when booking.

We describe inclusions, pickup arrangements, guide format, equipment, weather expectations, and cancellation terms as accurately as possible. We do not guarantee a clear sunrise or claim services that our operating partners have not confirmed.
